The son of Italian parents, Levi studied architecture in Milan and Rome as a student of Marcello Piacentini before going on to become one of the main exponents of modern architecture in Brazil, specifically in Sao Paulo, where he was instrumental in shaping the city with his designs; his last project being the Civic Centre of Santo Andre.
